Friends on the Path
There are some of us that are consciously on our path
to recovery. There is great value in getting together with
those that are from time to time. This week I will also write
about the value of being with those that do not know that
they are on their path to recovery.
One of the first things in being with others that intend
to recover, is that we do not have to go through a lot of
explanation. They already know a lot of the basics. That
saves us a lot of time.
With others, they can choose to resist even learning about
the basics of recovery thinking. They are afraid of catching
the optimism virus.

Friendly Atmosphere
When we are around friends that are more at peace and
blissful, we find it easier to be at peace and blissful. When
we are around those that are upsetting themselves, we find
it easier to upset ourselves. So, it is wise to find friends
that are at peace and blissful to learn more of how they are
being that way. It is wise to be in their presence to catch
that virus.

The Value of Our Petty Tyrants
As we learn how to forgive, and how to give grace, we
need some one to test us. Our universe provides our testers.
They are our petty tyrants in our lives. These are the ones
who incentivize us to learn more of how to forgive and how
to give grace. These are the ones who spur us on, on our road
to recovery.
They too are on their road to recovery. They just do not
know that, yet. They may be heading for their personal bottom,
or are starting to turn around. They get jealous of our progress
and try to trip us up. And, some times they succeed. We just
are the ones who just keep getting up and getting back on our
road to recovery. After all, they need someone to show the
way to do that.

Retreats
When we go on a retreat, we sometimes come back with
some changes. Usually our changes are positive. We have
usually upset the previous balance of our family and work
family systems. They are usually more difficult for a while.
We are tested for a while to see how much of our change
we will retain. When we persist the family systems that
we are left in will also change over time. Our challenge
is to endure the slings and arrows for a while.

I started my daily page, because it is useful for me to look for some recovery tip or secret each day for my spiritual growth. we and I only need one secret to work on and let it work on me each day. They are secrets because they are usually the opposite of what the majority of society teaches. They must be secret because they are not commonly used. A friend of mine once said "Common Sense is not much in Common.". Now that I have grandchildren I am also writing for them. I would have really liked for my grandparents to have passed on what they learned.
I am including Sunday as it is my formal day of learning the lord
most high's secrets. If you would like ask questions, or contribute
some of your wisdom, or want to make some comments or want to vote for which
day to put on my tip of the month page or tell your success stories, click
