We all do both positive and negative behavior and thereby

are asking for just that in return. Part of out behavior is

conscious and part is unconscious. We are surprised when

our unconscious behavior comes back. We of course like

our positive behavior returning like we did it. We often do

not like our positive behavior returning like other personalities

do it.

We usually do not like our negative stuff returning in either

our style or other styles.

The joke is that we are already following the golden rule

for our personality complex. We are behaving like we

consciously & unconsciously want everyone else to behave.

Our personality complex just does not like other personality

complexes and sometimes our own. That is also our tragedy.

A higher rule can be found on a quest. To ask the question:

"How can I behave today with more love and understanding

for the higher good of all concerned?" The question is never

how anyone else can behave. They are already doing their

personal best with what they are conscious of.

Whatever our answer to that question is, that is the best we

can do today and that is good enough for today.

Well, good enough for today is challenging.  My desktop

computer's processor fan died and the processor soon

followed yesterday.  The blessing in disguise was that I

had a reason to buy a better processor.  I found reasonable

better processors but not any to fit my motherboard.

Another blessing in disguise, I now needed to upgrade

both my processor and motherboard.  The other blessing

is that I get to learn more about Windows and the hardware.

Since then I have had a series of challenges in putting my

new system together.  I have been solving one challenge

at a time and finding that all of this is just more lessons in

how to cooperate with my blessings from spirit.

This is the kind of generic spiritual processes that are

practical.  Using ordinary life to learn more about life.

Not that I am doing perfectly in this, but I am doing

perfectly imperfectly.

So far, so good.  My improved computer is going together

piece by piece.  I am learning how to do each piece as I do

each piece.  I am facing some future challenges.  I may not

have enough IRQ settings for all my current cards.  I may be

forced to upgrade other parts of my computer.  I may need

to put in a more modern sound card and or modem.  Perhaps

another blessing in disguise.

Yesterday our alternator went out in our car as we were

driving home from my daughter's home.  We were taking

care of one of our grandchildren while his parents were out.

It was at night and when the car started to die out I left

the freeway and just made it to a nearby side street.  As

we started to look for what to do we met a young student

returning from her class.  She offered to let us phone from

her place.  When I was looking for where to phone to the

owner of the place she stays at offered to drive us home.

We all drove home and we got to get to know a student

from Brasil and a home owner that came from Jerusalem.

We got to meet some helpful nice people and perhaps

some new friends.  We are blessed.  Tomorrow I will buy

an alternator and fan belt and take my tools to fix our car.

Who knows what blessings or blessings in disguise are in

store.

7 May 98

Now let us go through some of the blessings of getting our

car fixed.  First, my wife did fine with the whole process.  A

great blessing for me.  Second, when I began the work of

putting in the new alternator and belt I found I did not have a

18mm wrench.  So I decided to have our car towed to the

service station that the man we met last night recommended.

We then had a long visit with this nice man and his wife and

found that we will be seeing them in the future. Then when we

went back to the service station we found that we needed a

new battery because the old one was leaking acid.  We then

went to a local drug store and found several things that we

could use.  When the job was finished, the man at the desk

cut our labor costs over half leaving us with a very fair and

reasonable costs.  I am putting my other blessing on my

soapbox page.

8 May 98

Another blessing from updating my computer is that I got to do

some fault isolating.  I found that my All In Wonder Video card

with its driver was the reason my computer was freezing.  I

found this because when I only had the video card in, I still had

this challenge of a freezing computer.  It was unlikely to be my

new motherboard and the only thing in common with this challenge

was my video card and the Windows 95 (c) software.  My guess

was that it was the video cards drivers.

So, I went to the ATI web site to look for later drivers and found

them and downloaded them.  I installed the new drivers and there I

am with my old computer freezing challenge gone.  I wonder what is

next?

9 May 98

What is next is that I found that there was a flaw in the

motherboard.  The second COM port did not work

no matter what setup I tried.  Part of these blessings is

that I was incentivized to look at what I wanted in a

longer range for this computer.  I decided that I needed

that COM port because it was part of the IR COM port

that I could use to communicate from my portable to my

desktop computer.  Tomorrow will be a good day to see

where this leads me.  Perhaps this was just an incentive to

get that IR COM port.  That will depend on the price of

admission.

10 May 98

What were the blessings today?

First, I got a new motherboard that is working including

the COM 2 channel.  Second, the sales person said

that the other sales person had set the wrong settings for

the processor.  Later, when the processor was running

very hot, I checked all the settings and found he had set

the voltage too high.  This is a hard lesson about checking

what others tell you.  It is like what I have been writing

here for a while.  I am giving hints just like the sales people

were giving me hints.  It is still up to me to check out what

they say.  The same is true for any that read what I write.

I started my daily page, because it is useful for me to look for some recovery tip or secret each day for my spiritual growth. we and I only need one secret to work on and let it work on me each day.  They are secrets because they are usually the opposite of what the majority of society teaches.  They must be secret because they are not commonly used.  A friend of mine once said "Common Sense is not much in Common.".  Now that I have grandchildren I am also writing for them.  I would have really liked for my grandparents to have passed on what they learned.

I am including Sunday as it is my formal day of learning the lord most high's secrets.  If you would like ask questions, or contribute some of your wisdom, or want to make some comments or want to vote for which day to put on my tip of the month page or tell your success stories, click Michael Foster, M.
