Last week I wrote about the word therapist with "thera" for

God and "pist" for pissed. In other words, a pissed god. Someone

contributed the following: "thera is from the greek word "therapeuo",

which means "to heal."" I replied: "For me, "To Heal", is from spirit

or God in the terms of some. They also contributed: ""pissed"

originally meant "drunk," and had nothing at all to do with anger."

I responded with: "I have noticed some connections between anger

and drink and needing to piss. Perhaps some others have :))"

My wife thought of another way to look at the word therapist.

Therapist also has the words "the" and "rapist" in it. That would

have obvious interpretations. We could break the word therapist

down even further to "the" "ra" "pist". Ra is an ancient word for

Lord or God. So we have the pissed lord.

That is why I still use the word coach. Does someone have

a better suggestion. I am always open to better.

19 May 98

What might be better today? Something that we make better.

Today is a good day to take action on something that we have been

putting off. I have been putting off trying out the new drivers I

downloaded for my sound card. I have been putting this off since

I had to reload my programs in the past because the drivers that came

with my card did not work and left a mess of some of the programs

in my computer.

My other alternative is to get a new sound card or to take back my

new motherboard and get another motherboard. The only way I know

to find out is to try my old sound card again.

The other thing I need to complete this computer upgrade is an

additional PCI or ISA card with a printer and serial port. I need

a free serial port and the pass through printer port on my BackPack

PD/CDROM drive does not work with my printer. This challenge

has to do with conflicting DMA's when the computer checks the DMI

pool during boot.

Again, I am open to any better ideas. This is a little later today

as I had a long session with a client. Below is a prayer that I am

starting to use that I call the "I Am" prayer. The Lord's Prayer is

an example for coming into cosmic harmony. The below prayer is

for getting into daily harmony:

"I am Praying Daily, Like my Lord Most High Within.

I am grateful for _________.

I am forgiving myself for judging myself as a/an _________.

I am seeing myself as a/an _______.

I am taking actions by ________.

Example:

I am grateful for my blessings.

I am forgiving myself for judging myself as a negative person.

I am seeing myself as a positive person.

I am taking actions by doing positive things today.

In my saga of upgrading my computer I was forced to also upgrade

my sound card to a more modern PCI type. It worked! The blessing

of the old sound card not working is that I "had" to get a better card.

I also needed to get another parallel and serial port card to replace

an old one that did not work. I got a new PCI one that was advertised

to be a really hot performer and only use one IRQ. I was surprised to

find that the parallel port part would not work with my BackPack

PD/CDROM drive. Fortunately, it did work with my printer and the

parallel port on my motherboard that I had set to its low capacity did

work. In other words I found a combination that was good enough,

but not perfect. Good enough is good enough for now!!

Now I am enjoying my upgraded computer as it is. I will be

enjoying upgrading it more when that priority comes up.

First I noticed that the internet was a sword made into a plowshare.

Today I noticed that the Global Positioning System was another sword

made into a plowshare. Perhaps the millennium has started and I am

just getting around to noticing. What have you noticed?

Satellites in general are becoming more useful to the civilians than

they are to the military and will continue to be more so. If this is the

beginning of the millennium, what would you be doing different to help

usher in the thousand years of finding peace before we all return to

walking with God in His Garden of Eden?

So each step we make towards our own Garden of Eden, our

garden of pleasure, is a step towards all of us finding our peace.

Our peace is something we can give to all of mankind since we

can our peace can keep us and grow. Growing in peace is how

we can be of service to ourselves and everyone else at the same

time. What other use for time would make sense? How else

could we be more sane in a world that is recovering from insanity?

The American Psychiatric Association has classified all the

forms of our insanities in a book they call the "Diagnostic and

Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders", the DSM. It is now the

DSM-IV. This manual is really only a book describing our

spiritual symptoms of our insanities. This manual is focusing on

labeling our conditions, a focus on judgment. This manual could

be turned into a focus on how we are recovering. All of the

symptoms could be seen as forms of displaying our angers and

anxieties and therefore as potential energy when we learn forms

of forgiveness.

Listening to the Lord most High Within:

Today, Sunday, is a good day to write about this kind of listening.

JC said how to do listening of this kind, love the Lord with all

your heart and soul. The reason that many are afraid to listen is

that they will hear the Lord Most Low Within first, like Job did.

They are right, they will have to outlast the voice of their accusers

first, to hear the voice of our redeemer. That is the good news.

The voice of the Holy Spirit, the voice of our innocence, the

voice of our lover of our spirit, is there at the end of all of our

accusations against ourselves.

I started my daily page, because it is useful for me to look for some recovery tip or secret each day for my spiritual growth. we and I only need one secret to work on and let it work on me each day. They are secrets because they are usually the opposite of what the majority of society teaches. They must be secret because they are not commonly used. A friend of mine once said "Common Sense is not much in Common.". Now that I have grandchildren I am also writing for them. I would have really liked for my grandparents to have passed on what they learned.
