What are some continuing trends?
Sponsor supported software. Eudora Pro now has an ad supported
version in of their premier mail program in Beta. This is just one example
of this trend. Shareware has problems, not enough people share. In
addition there are other free programs, like Outlook Express, and most
shareware programs ask for too much money. The neat thing about ad
supported software is that there is continuous income for the programmers
that allows for continuous improvement.
Even freeware is selling us something. Sometimes the ego of the
programmer. Sometimes the expertise of the programmer or the company.
There is even the possibility that any program authors will be able to
choose who will advertise through them in the future. Eudora explains
very well about their change to be following the ad supported TV model.
The other trend is to having the computing being done in servers and
the programs on the Internet, instead of our local hard drives. These so
called ASP services will also be ad supported, sponsored.
What does all this have to do with recovery? It has to do with sponsorship.
We need continuous sponsoring. We need to find where we get continuous
positive support, positive sponsoring. We need to do positive sponsoring,
supporting in return and even first. In fact, when we have the attitude of a
sponsor that has had their spiritual awakening, all of what we do is sponsoring.
Speaking of sponsorship, we can both win when you sponsor me by using
some of the sponsors that are paying for the attention of both of us.

Who is responsible?
We all are. We all are responsible for what we think of our stories with
our circumstances and our unknowns. Since everyone is responsible, then
all we can do is take responsibility for our own story. We can make up a
new story as we go along.
Once upon a time, one of us realized that they were totally responsible.
They called themselves a son of God and of man and called us Gods. They
realized that they were in the least of us. They realized that they had little,
to no control of all of us, and yet they took responsibility for our mistakes.
They did that, so that none of us would need to take responsibility for any
of the mistakes of others. They did that so that we could turn over our
mistakes to God, so that God could transform our mistakes into our blessings.
Who was that masked man?

How can I find Happiness?
By choosing to be happy, in spite of what is going on. Happiness is a
choice. This becomes more clear, when we or someone we know, chooses
unhappiness. When we choose unhappiness, we upset ourselves. We worry
and we worry others. We get physical symptoms, from our upsets and worries.
We then worry and upset ourselves, over our physical symptoms, that we caused
in the first place. We are on a negative spiral.
The way back to happiness is to repent, to change our minds. We need to
decide to be happy. Then our physical symptoms improve. Then we worry
less and upset ourselves less. Then our physical symptoms improve. Then we
are happier. Then our physical symptoms improve. Then we are on a positive
spiral. How happy do you want to be today? I want to be happy enough.

What is a Window of Opportunity?
A Window of Opportunity is an optimum time. Sometimes it is good to
procrastinate, because the best deal is not yet here. Sometimes it is bad to
procrastinate, because the best deal is going away. Sometimes it is good
enough, no matter what. That is, when time, is not a factor.
There was an optimum time to apply to http://www.free-pc.com, for a
free PC. They sent me one, with a program to show me ads for 30 months
and then it would be mine. In five months e-machines bought free-pc out
and decided to use the free-pc programmers and personnel for higher
priorities. They were using them for data mining to see how ads worked
best on PC's and how we use PC's. Perhaps they got enough data. So,
they gave me title to my Compaq 5301. I was on time for my Window of
Opportunity. I list opportunities I find on my page
https://www.recoverybydiscovery.com/getpaid.htm.
Not only is there a growing set of services on the Internet, supported
by ads, they are even paying us to look at some ads. There is even a rash
of programs to get paid directly to try new services. This too will pass.
A current example is x.com
where they are giving us $20 in our account with them and $10 for up to
100 people we refer. The window of opportunity closes this Friday on
18 February. I was looking for this particular window, where you can
get paid easily, without paying a large fee to credit cards or other
companies. Little did I expect for them to pay me a bonus and a bonus
for those I refer and get their services for free.
I kept looking for what I wanted until I got it. A banking service to make
moving money easy. Life is also like that in other areas. When we are looking
for something, we need to keep looking until we find it. I heard this joke in
Marine boot camp. It was about the Private recruit that kept picking up papers
every where, no matter what. He kept getting into trouble, but he picked each
paper up, no matter what. You would have to be crazy to do that in Marine
boot camp, so they sent him to their head doctor. He kept picking up papers
in the doctor's office. The doctor certified him as crazy and they gave him a
medical discharge. When he picked up his medical discharge he said: That's
the paper I was looking for!"

What do we do when we find we make mistakes?
Do it over. Make amends. Find out if it really was a mistake.
Sometimes it is not a mistake. Sometimes we are just the servant
of another that needs our mistake. Since everyone is doing the
best that they can with their circumstances and what they are
conscious of and what they are not conscious of, are there really
any mistakes?
As we change our circumstances and as we become more
conscious we can do things better and make better amends.

What is our real God like?
Not like our EGO. Not like our FEARS. God is like our
best and closest FRIEND. EGO is Edging God Out. FEARS
is False Expectations Appearing Real Shitty. FRIEND is more
than these letters. FRIEND is all the letters of our alphabet from
A to Z. A friend of mine sent me this URL
www.geocities.com/Heartland/Farm/3227/ABC.html. I will leave
it to you to see how your friends are like that and God is like that
for you.
Very Respectfully,

I started my daily page, because it is useful for me to look for some recovery tip or secret each day for my spiritual growth. we and I only need one secret to work on and let it work on me each day. They are secrets because they are usually the opposite of what the majority of society teaches. They must be secret because they are not commonly used. A friend of mine once said "Common Sense is not much in Common.". Now that I have grandchildren I am also writing for them. I would have really liked for my grandparents to have passed on what they learned.
I am including Sunday as it is my formal day of learning the lord most high's secrets. If you would like ask questions, or contribute some of your wisdom, or want to make some comments or want to vote for which day to put on my tip of the month page or tell your success stories, click Michael Foster, M.
