Why do we all want to help?

The truth is that we all have parts of us that need help.  When

we help with compassion and love, we are having compassion and

love for our parts also.  Compassion and love is healing both of us.

We are helping both those we help, and ourselves.  When we help,

thinking of them as the only one needing help, we are not helping them,

or ourselves.  This is what often happens in our helping professions and

institutions.

So, a solution is simple.  Do unto others, as we want it done unto

us.  The joke is that we do that.  We do unto others as we consciously

and unconsciously, want it done unto ourselves.  The solution is more

complex.  We need to increase the consciousness of what we are doing

to ourselves and others.  I do not know anyone exempt from this and

I include myself.  I have met many remarkable people and I include them

also.  We are all in this together.  Our only real hope is to also include our

lord most high within that we have in common.

How do we play jokes on ourselves?

By not remembering everything.  There is too much to remember at

a time.  Time is here so that everything does not happen at once.  So,

we are bound to play some jokes on ourselves.  For example:

I ran into a Portable Digital Assistant that I was looking for at a good

price on zSHOPS on Amazon.Com.  I used their one click ordering

capability.  A few days later I got a call from my sister in California to

my home in Maryland.  She had turned down a package for me and

called me.  I did not know why someone would send a package to me

at my father's earthly address.  Then, it came to me as I was waking up

the next day.  I had once used Amazon.Com's one click ordering to

send something to my father's earthly home.  I remembered and when

I checked, that is exactly what happened.  The blessing in disguise is

that I got in touch with my sisters and was reminded of needing to slow

down again.

What are some other blessings in disguise?

I was also reminded about zSHOPS.  They appear to be a good way

to merchandise most anything.  They appear to cost anyone 10 cents

for 2 weeks of shelf time, plus 5%, or less when the item is more

expensive.  That is low operating expenses for the value that Amazon.Com

can add, like search and recommend engines.  It appears that using their

credit card processes costs 25 cents and 2.5% of the transaction.  I am

interested in whoever has this capability, or something better.  The Internet

trends in what is for free and what is for fee will determine a large part of our

futures.  Tell me when you find better deals.

That is what I have been doing here, telling about the best deals in how

to recover.  Also tell me when you find better deals.

Why is change stressful?

Because our zone of comfort is where we are comfortable.  When

it is not our zone of comfort, we work to change it to our zone of comfort.

Our zone of comfort can actually be a stressful place.  That may be what

we grew up with.  Changing to a less stressful environment can actually

be stressful, until we get used to the new environment.  But , we may actually

create some stress in our new environment, to try to get back to our old

zone of comfort.

When we are changing, that can be very stressful because we are not

used to changing.  We can stress ourselves over the changing process itself.

We may not like where we are, we may want to move to something else,

but to move, we may stress ourselves in the process.  That is the price of

admission to our better place.

25 February 2000

Can we be afraid of Love?

Sure, are some of us not afraid of God?  God is the only energy there

is.  Love is the only energy there is, but we have conditioned our energy,

our love, to fear and hate.  So, we have to go through our fears, resolve

our fears, feel our fears, to get free of our fear.  When we go through

some of our fears, we feel some more love.  When we resolve some fears,

we feel some more love.  When we feel our fears enough these feeling

resolve themselves into some moe love.  When we feel our pains and

healing comes, we end up feeling more love and gratitude.  That is because

love is what we are made of.  We have just distorted it into hates and fears.

So, our challenge is to drop our conditioning to hate others.  Our

challenge is to drop our conditioning to fear others.  Our conditioning

goes back into far past history.  That is what our challenge is to drop.

That is our way back to ourselves.  To our authentic selves.  Our loving

selves.

Very Respectfully,

"Learn HOW to recovery by discovering the blocks you need to remove and the actions you need to take and what you need to let go of as your blocks to your blessings."

From my book in process, Recovery By Discovery, The Spiritual Cookbook (Generic Recipes for a Better Life)

If you would like a free monthly newsletter with coach's hints on a single subject, click RBD's Free Monthly Newsletter Registration Form.

I started my daily page, because it is useful for me to look for some recovery tip or secret each day for my spiritual growth. we and I only need one secret to work on and let it work on me each day.  They are secrets because they are usually the opposite of what the majority of society teaches.  They must be secret because they are not commonly used.  A friend of mine once said "Common Sense is not much in Common.".  Now that I have grandchildren I am also writing for them.  I would have really liked for my grandparents to have passed on what they learned.

I am including Sunday as it is my formal day of learning the lord most high's secrets.  If you would like ask questions, or contribute some of your wisdom, or want to make some comments or want to vote for which day to put on my tip of the month page or tell your success stories, click Michael Foster, M.
